Attic 24 Crochet Bag Update

I finally finished the bag will almost I also plan to line it with a nice black/gold/white Asian style print after I figure it all out on the HOW to do it.. Thrift Store Deals

Picked up a few things from the thrift store...

12 half pint mason jars $6
Vinegar/Oil Jar with a nice size hole in the top I plan to use for holding dish soap for $1.99

I have finished the bag portion onto to the handles I measured the handle placement with stitch markers and I am getting ready to start.

Since yesterday it's coming along the sides are starting to look better I am just not sure how big to make it just yet as well as how I want to do the handles.

Attic 24 Crochet Bag

I wanted a quick simple project I was getting burned out on all the hats I have been making over the last 2 months. Plus I have alot of scrap material I want to use up when I saw a cute little bag HERE however I wanted to gift this bag to someone? WHO I am not sure yet but I figured I would grab someone attention with the color selection. 

Here is my current bag in progress the bottom has been adjusted after I felt the 15 inch bottom was looked TOO big maybe it was just me so I ripped it down to 12 inches and here is a current up to date pictures of the bag in progress..

Crochet Kids Chemo Caps

At a request from my mom who works for Hospice they need some chemo caps for kids so I have been working hard along with my daughter who is just learning to crochet hats to whip up a few dozen chemo hats for these kids. But I wanted to share a few with you

Crochet Visor Hats

I found a few patterns on line for visor hats the fun part was trying to get that crazy visor to lay flat and less bumpy I had to tear it out a few times. This hat was suppose to fit ? a teenager yet It may fit a young child maybe I will keep you posted on it to see if it will fit..there is only maybe 1 inch stretch room to fit a young child

 This was a different pattern for a young child size yet seems to look better in a picture then close up lol it's a little bumpy but I torn it out after I took these pictures and created the red visor above..of the two visors I think the black and red would fit a young child better

McKinley's Springtime Hat Part 2

I wanted to be able to make this cute hat in acrylic yarn as well as I have 3 huge boxes of this type of yarn and lots of scrap balls . I got to work making it boy was it a challenge for me LOL...The newborn pink hat I used a G hook after Frog many hats and I added a few extra rows of sc to allow for baby grown worked with RHSS yarn I will have to go back and try the hobby lobby brand as it stretches alot more.

The toddler size I used a H hook did only 3 increase rows and added 2 more rows of the shells and about 6-8 rows of sc total this hat is looks like it will stretch well..I too used RHSS yarn for this..Seems like it has lots of extra room for kids hair plus for older toddler/children I had my doubts because it looked HUGE but worked out great...

McKinley's Springtime Hat

This pattern is from Raverly it's called McKinley's Springtime hat by Kirsten Spritzer. The white hat was made following the pattern using the G hook called for in the pattern measurement to be 16 inches around however it came out smaller so I started a new hat using yellow crochet cotton using an H hook and it came out perfect w/ a little extra stretch for growth.. This hat whips up quickly.I can't wait to make more to share and donate..

Acrylic Chemo Cap

I wanted to see how the pattern for the Chemo Caps worked using a acrylic very nice a soft the only changes need was I hook to start and a H to do the Dc row and brim the yarn stretches so it was too big so I ripped it out and re-crocheted it :O)

Chemo Granny Style Hat

The lady at work wanted an open mesh style hat bucket hat however she has very thin hair and I was afraid it would be to open so I did single crochet on top then added the sides..I think it's too big for her but I will know more tomorrow when she tries it on I will Rip it out if needed...

Very dark purple made with hobby lobby cotton using a H hook for the first several rows then the last 3-4 rows I did with a F hook to tighten up the hat so I didn't have to use elastic

An employee underwent chemo therapy she had lost some hair making it very thin looking on top..I have created a few different styles for her to try but I think the white hat style is the best..
